Ed Galvin is the Founder and Managing Director of Proptech Consulting, and an independent expert on data centre site selection, acquisition and development. A chartered surveyor by training, Ed has been advising companies large and small on real estate strategy for over a decade.
Ed began his career working in commercial agency at Spring4 before joining CBRE’s Data Centre Solutions team. In September 2016 Ed founded Proptech Consulting, which combines traditional real estate expertise with cutting-edge technology. In 2017 he secured funding for the DC Byte, a transformative marketplace platform for the data centre sector, which launched in April 2018.
Ed is a keen advocate for the broader role that technology will play in terms of transportation (autonomous vehicles), communications (particularly low bandwidth satellite backhaul) and IoT applications (especially in the medical sector).
Before starting his career in property Ed read Theology at the University of Cambridge and Property Valuation and Law at Cass Business School.
Henry joined Proptech Consulting in 2017 having previously worked at media tech company Meltwater. Henry is working towards qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and is studying in his spare time for a Masters in Real Estate at Kingston University.
Henry grew up in Abu Dhabi and has a keen interest in the wider Gulf Region. He is the resident linguist and speaks Arabic, German and Dutch.
